The UK Conferences · 2026 Day 2 — AI Sandbox
Standing guardrail: Treat every AI output as a draft from an unreliable junior colleague — fast, useful, and wrong often enough that a human must check it. No real personal or proprietary data. Every external-facing output needs a named human sign-off in the Provenance Log.
Lab 1

Audience Intelligence & Strategic Message Crafting

Scenario brief

Conversational AI

AI Assistant

A general-purpose assistant pre-loaded with the current scenario. Use it to segment audiences, draft and red-team messages, reason through crisis lines, or build a moderation playbook. It drafts — you decide.

Scenario context is attached automatically. Conversations are logged to Provenance.
Insight utility

Sentiment & Theme Analyzer

Paste a batch of public comments — or load the sample corpus — and the analyzer returns a sentiment breakdown, ranked themes, dominant emotions, and possible misinformation. Spot-check the output: these tools misread sarcasm, negation, and culturally specific phrasing.

Up to ~80 comments per run. Output is a draft summary, not ground truth.
Language utility

Translate & Adapt

Translates a message, back-translates it so you can check the meaning held, and flags idioms, untranslatable terms, and cultural risks. Translation is where AI is most seductive and most dangerous — every output is a first pass a human reviewer must own.

Accountability

Provenance Log

Every AI interaction is recorded here with its prompt, output, tool, team, and scenario. Add a human sign-off to anything destined to go out the door. Export the log as your audit trail for the deliverable.
